Welcome Registration for Spring '12 is now open. Welcome to the website of the Mamaroneck Junior Soccer League (MJSL). This site serves as a source of information for players, parents, coaches and referees.
The MJSL Travel Soccer program is the more competitive arm to MJSL's Recreational Soccer Program. There are specific requirements for children to participate in a Travel Program. They must be 8 years or older and children can only enter the travel program if there is a roster spot on a travel team and they have successfully participated in a try-out. Try-outs take place in June and are announced on this web site, via e-mail and through other methods.
The MJSL is affiliated with the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL), which means we play against other WYSL affiliated teams. For Spring 2012 we will have around 500 athletes participating on 37 travel teams (in addition to approximately 380 children in the Rec Program). That is up from 220 children on 13 teams in the fall of 2006.
Sportsmanship: "If by winning you have lost the respect of others, you didn't really win". The MJSL has sportsmanship high on its agenda. Year after year, many Mamaroneck teams receive the prestigious Sportsmanship Award.
Mamaroneck teams are playing at the highest level. We have more teams than ever competing in Division 1 & 2.
The Travel Program is managed by the Travel Committee under the leadership of Susan Jones, with Trent Spiridellis is running the tryouts this Spring.
